So my story is....
I started running to be able to be able to stick around this world and see my kids grow up...
My story begins in 2005...
I was a new aspiring Government employee with a 18 month old daughter... Imagine my shock when a routine doctor's appointment revealed I had leukemia. I started seeing unexplainable bruises all over the body, but I thought leukemia was for other people and in the movies... With my mother passing from leukemia in 2005 and perishing within one month after diagnosis, my wife and I were convinved I was going to die..
Thankfully, I survived 5 rounds of chemetherapy and 2 years later, I was even healthy enough to introduce a son to this world.... Up to this point I had been 170-180 lbs at my 5' 7" height I was convinced my weight was a significant factor in me developing cancer...
So by the neighbor's taunting me to join him for a run, I was able to complete a 5K for my very first run... Huffing and puffing, and not able to walk for days afterward, and walking more than running, but I made it.. After this, I was hooked. (I owe my life to Kipp for this)
Since then I've run 5Ks, 10K, 5 milers, 2 full marathons and most recently, a 50K. In the process of training, I ran with Team In Training, fundraiding for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and wanted to give back to the running community that had given me sooo much....
So I took the Road Runners Club of America's Running Coach certification, and decided to help others achieve their running goals.... I've always been upbeat, energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational.... Pls book your initial consultation, and we'll see how we can achieve your goals together.
